Yes! There is a minimum and maximum number of players our governing organization (GBYLA) allows per team. Sing-ups are first come first served.

Practices are typically held at Buck Creek Park in Alabaster. Alternate locations, if used, will be communicated ahead of time.

  • 8U practices are typically twice a week for an hour and half.
  • 10U practices can be 2- 3 times a week for an hour and a half.
  • Girls, 12U and 14U practices are typically 3 times a week for an hour and a half .

Practice schedules can shift slightly once games begin.

For our 12U and younger age groups we are able to have up to 3 registered game coaches per team.

We have additional coaches that work with players on goalie, faceoff, and other specialty positions.

We are always looking for volunteer coaches and score keepers, please let us know if you would like to help.

Practices typically start mid-January. Games start toward the end of February and the season wraps up with an end of year Jamboree on the last Saturday in April. (14U does not participate in the Jamboree, but will compete for the Metro Championship, our middle school play off tournament.)

Typically there are around 8 games in the season with an additional 3 games on the day of the Jamboree. Coaches are able to have a practice game or two before the season officially starts, as availability allows.

Home games will be played at either Larry Simmons Stadium or Buck Creek Park, dependent on availability. Away games are in the Birmingham metro area, Mountain Brook, Hoover, Vestavia, Trussville, Briarwood. Some teams may elect, based on player availability, to play optional games outside of the metro area.
